DIY Kitchen Remodel on a Budget
Progress Report
You may have read the post or watched the video of our new DIY Ikea kitchen island.
I’ll include the video below in case you want to check it out.
However, that was just the beginning six plus months ago! We have since torn out ceilings and installed shiplap, removed and repurposed upper cabinets, added new butcher block countertops, installed a new sink, subway tile, lighting, and open shelves. Phew!
But, we’re still not done! We’ve had a couple of set- backs and had to go to plan B more than once. But that’s real life DIY, isn’t it?
We’re planning on doing a lot of cabinet painting next week. So stay tuned for that!
I’m going to embed the videos below of what we’ve done so far. I’ll be adding more as we make progress. Then of course, I’ll do a blog post with plenty of styled, glamour shots (of the kitchen of course!).
I’ll share the links to paint colors and sources in that post. But if you have a question before then, ask away in the comments!
See ya soon,
Tanya from Free Range Cottage
