Welcome to Friday favorites! I’ll be sharing my favorite unique finds (thrifted or new) in home decor, fashion, books, other great blogs, and anything else I think you might love.
This week I wrote a post about how to cozy up your home. Some would say it’s that time of year. But I think a cozy home is what most of us want all year long!
Recently I’ve been looking at table settings for Fall. I’ve been working on finishing up our dining room makeover so I’m excited to set the table for Thanksgiving!
So far I’ve painted our round table. I really agonized over this decision! It had a nice wood finish. However, our dining room doesn’t have a window directly in it, so it’s kind of dark. The wood wasn’t doing anything for the room.
I’m so happy with the finished product. I used Fusion Mineral Raw Silk and put on a topcoat of wax.
I also painted the inside of my thrifted cabinets with a mushroom color in Chalk Paint from Lowes.
This is the first time I’ve used it and I really like the fact that I can get it tinted to any color that I want.
Favorite Finds
I also ordered the cutest Cappuccino cups and saucers that I’ve ever seen, along with some adorable Mushroom napkins. Link is below. I’ll definitely be using the Mushroom napkins on our Thanksgiving table.
I made up a collage of some other things I’m considering for cozy table settings for many wonderful meals coming up. I’ve linked everything below it.

If you’re like me and you love an earthy, European style kitchen, you’ll want to check out this stove alcove post from Farmhouse Living.
The dreamy tile and neutral textures make me sigh with happiness!
Liz Marie has a great idea for a Fall Apple Bar. Yummy and so easy for entertaining. I think my grandkids will love this one!
Last but not least is the most simple idea to recover a chair with a fur throw. This is such a quick DIY (my favorite). Now I’m on the lookout for a free chair so I can try this!
Well that wraps up Friday favorites for this week.
